Presqu'ile Advice?

Heading to Sandbanks with the kids for a few days this Sunday and plan to stop at Presqu'ile on the way. Any good advice/tidbits/words of wisdom for my first ever visit?  Also, wondering if it's worth the extra drive out to the Prince Edward Bird Observatory (it's another hour past Sandbanks).

For Presqu'ile Check out beaches 3, 4 areas. This is prime right now for migration of shorebirds.

Although it was quiet when I was there on Monday, check out the Owen Point trail for shorebirds as well.

You may be trying to tackle too much, presquille may be a bit overwhelming as it is fairly large area and unless you know where to go right away, you seemed lost

Prince Edward may be better and leave presquille for a whole day trip

I completely agree.
Presqu'ile is huge with lots to see..hopefully..it needs a whole day to really appreciate the park and to do it properly.

Thanks for the help everyone! Even though I'll only have time to see a small part of it, I think it's sill worth stopping. Would love to see a few of those shorebirds. Could be a few years before I get a chance to explore the whole thing properly (i.e. without young kids in tow).
