amazing detail.
wish the wings made it into the crop, but otherwise, yeah, that's pretty awesome

Now that is a great shot. I don't mind the wings being cut out. I think it help to focus right on the face.
Did you crop this or was it one of those times the Osprey flies right over the deck. The last couple of morning they have been diving about 100 feet out in front of the deck. Then flying straight up and overtop of it to then circle around back to the trees.
Great views.

Thanks Richard and Meghan.

It is a close crop. The wing was just too long.

They may fly over the platform but very rarely with their catch. Usually they will go north, one will go east and 2 will go south. One will go to a far off tree and have his dinner right there. Lens not long enough to get that and the only closer place is someone's backyard. I am sure those with 500-800 lens will be able to catch it in that position.

Get into the back yard of the torn down house on Oakbank. The one they tore down a few years ago?
You can sit righ out by the Willow tree and get some awesome shots when they fish down there in the shallow end.

Thanks Meghan. Have many times, never worked out. When I am there they fish on the hidden left side, when not they fish at the far end. :)

Have only 3 more shots to complete this summer - a good clear pre-dive ie head first, the actual dive feet down, and one with its feet just hitting the water. Just have to keep at it....
