I was there yesterday.

One came about 4:45. No more after that. Getting to be iffy now.

Not sure. I have been there a few times about 8'ish but nothing, maybe daybreak but sleep has a bigger pull on me then birds. :)

Rob,
If you are going to go..try maybe between 10 and 11 or noon and 1.
This is when I have had the best luck.
The Osprey was in the trees at the back end of the pond in the early am 8 or so, but didn't move till after 10.
I think with the cooler nights, the fish hunker down longer into the morning because of the cooler water temp. So once the fish are up and start jumping then the Osprey start going for them.
Mind you, there is not much time left to see them, but if you go those are the times I would recommend.

I was there also with BoboBird & only one sighting / feeding.
Ospreys are still up north on there nests ( though not many ) so there might be more passing through.
The leaves are changing very fast & the color is getting intense so it might be a good time to go for fall colors if anyone is interested.
 Cheers.
Meghan...I swear to God Im going to post some pics. this week!!

You reckon 8-10, well I am thinking of being there from about 7'ish on Sat.

Edit - no go, forgot it is the Thornhill Village Festival tomorrow and parking is going to be non-existent along most of Center Street or anywhere in that vicinity.

So its iffy on an Osprey.  Okay.

If I make a trip to that area; any suggestions on other locations to check out for birds and wildlife?

G. Ross Lord Park (on Dufferin north of Finch) would be on the way I guess.

I have passed that park many times and never gone in.  Might be another one to have a stroll around.  Thanks!

The pond at Elgin Mills and Leslie is good for Great Blue Herons in the afternoon.

I was at Oakbank pond today from 7:30am to 8:30am.  No Osprey but had 1 GBH on the small island, 1 BCNH in Willow type tree on west side, dozens of Jays on the move, WBNH, Song Sparrows, Common Yellowthroat and some Yellow-rumps.
