Hi all,
This afternoon at 4:30 PM I noticed a lot of birds feeding at the top of our Cedars. I went outside and got the binoculars focused on the trees and found the birds to be Pine Siskins. They were frantically feeding on the cedar cones. A couple of times several of the birds flew down and fed on nyger seed from the finch feeder. Twice the birds flew out and circled around before returning to the Cedars. The flock was somewhere about 40 birds in size.
Also present in the trees were Ruby-crowned and Golden-crowned Kinglets. Along the fence were a couple of Dark-eyed Juncos.
