I lucked into the 1 week window where the bluebirds land in Toronto. They're most spectacular when they fly away from you, to be honest, but their call and their cuteness is still great to see.

Nice colours, especially the ones of his back.

thanks, everyone.
again, you don't appreciate their true beauty until they fly. like a super-saturated blue jay.

Great shots Richard, really beautifully captured.

We've had several hundred Bluebirds fly over Rosetta McClain Gardens during the past week, it's nice to see that they are landing somewhere and allowing a few photos before heading south.  Unfortunately for us, we're only seeing the underside as they fly through.

Excellent photos!  Bluebirds are one of my absolute fave birds.  Seen a few migrating through the west end in the past few weeks but not this close.

A birth certificate shows we were born.  A death certificate shows we died.  Pictures show we live.

Some nice shots Richard... I was at Bronte creek PP on the weekend and saw many there, several pairs usually stay all winter in this park as long as weather is not too bad

Love these Richard.
You knew they would be there, and you scored within such a narrow window of opportunity. You had an awesome day on top of it all.
Well done. Great shots all of them. I've tried but I can't pick a favorite. Really leaning towards the second one though
