Hello

We arrived home early this morning from North Western Ontario. After 18 plus hours on the road we are still recovering. I am still a bit scatter brained. So "Bear" with me..

North bound
5 Sandhill Cranes Hearst along the road
1 Northern Harrier South of Cochrane
many Ravens
many Kestrels
Many Crows
1 Cow moose West of Hearst
2 Black Bear  West of Hearst

While visiting

3 Bald Eagles (at Dump sites)
many Turkey Vultures
spotted 2 separate groups of Evening Grosbeaks  at the lake and  in Atikokan

At the lake

Pine Siskins
3 winter Wrens
2 Hairy Woodpeckers
Many Northern Flickers
1 American kestrel
15 Common Nighthawks (Saturday night)
3 Ruby Throated Humming Birds
1 Brown Creeper
Many Song sparrows
Many White throated Sparrows
Group of Common Mergansers
2 Common Goldeneye
3 Loons
1 Great Blue Heron
Grackles, Redwinged Blackbird(females and fledglings),Crows and Ravens
heard but unseen Pileated Woodpecker..argh and Red Eyed Vireo's
5 Black bears at the dump a new record

Similar sightings along the way home including 1 Bear,  1 Moose near Quetico park. 1 Norther Harrier at the airport in Kapuskasing. The surprise was an Eastern Bluebird along the Road in Hearst..
