Thank you Meghan and Byron for the direction to where they are, I was able to capture this picture. They are around 200 of them in the cornfield.

Stunning shot.

Guess it would not make much sense to try photographing with a 300mm??

I took these picture with my telescope (600mm + 1.4 TC+ a set of extension tubes.)

Ahhhhh, so a 300 or a 300+Tc will probably not be much good then. Will just observe with the binoculars then and save the camera for other stuff. :)

still about 50 there today as well as a great blue heron and an adult bald eagle.
