Beautiful capture Paul. Looks like a nice big healthy Owl
You can even see the ear tuffs.
This is your time of year to really shine. I am looking forward to many more Owl pictures from you.

I've seen snowies a few times.  Gorgeous birds and that is a fabulous shot.  If you travel north of Fergus, around the Metz area, and just criss-cross the concession roads you have a pretty good chance of seeing one many days over the winter.

Sweet!  We saw a couple Snowys on Saturday.  Always a pleasure to see.  Nice you got the eye color, something I have yet to get due to bad light conditions and often the birds being far off.

A birth certificate shows we were born.  A death certificate shows we died.  Pictures show we live.

We used to see Snowy Owls in the winter when I lived in Bruce County, haven't seen any since I moved to the sunny south.  I am hoping to stop at Amherst Island on my way to Montreal after Christmas.  I would love to get a good picture of a Snowy, by far one of my favourite birds.

Sometimes you need a little help to get the best shot.
