Hi all. I've been really sparse around here other than lurking, but figured I'd share a few for a change. To the gent I saw at the park today, I hope you too found these Bluebirds. I read about them on OFO and figured I'd take a walk this aft and I did luck out.

I'd never seen these before so it was nice... If you do happen to go looking, from the parking lot closest to the water but most west from the creek/river, walk west and I found them in the Sumacs as well as down near the lake.

My blog has more stuff... http://photo.asic.ca/blog

Love the Bluebirds!

Agreed, #3 is the best of the bunch but others aren't too shabby.  Just the fact you got to see and appreciate them is awesome.

A birth certificate shows we were born.  A death certificate shows we died.  Pictures show we live.

Great capture, I was out there today and only saw crows flying overhead, and heard chickadees. even the creek was filled with mallards and geese, no winter birds! I guess timing is everything.

Absolutely gorgeous pictures.  Went there yesterday to try to find them but no luck.  There was a kestrel about, near the main road.  Took a look at Sam Smith's for the snowy but, again, no luck.

It was lovely bumping into you both yesterday! near the main road when I left as well on the south east side of the Lakeshore bridge there was the resident Cooper's hawk eyeing the local pigeons!Didn't get the shot, I just wanted to get indoors and rest.

I'm glad you spotted the Kestrel!

It was great bumping into you as well Irene.  Nice chat.  We spotted the kestrel as we were leaving the parking lot (north of the off leash dog enclosure) - on top of one of posts on the road.

Good luck with getting back to work soon and happy birding.

Thanks! Today (Monday) on the way to the doctors I saw a very large Red-Tailed Hawk in one of the trees North of the dog park.
