the woman with the buckets is "Ann" she's just a friend of the trumpeters and makes sure they get quality food & not just bread scraps throughout the winter. If you see a Oriental man doing the same thing his name is Art and he cares for them too. Art's agreat guy to talk to he knows the history of most of the trumpeters and the tagging does help him in knowing who's who. It also helps in knowing who the parents were-are. He'll talk to anyone and loves talking and educating the visitors about them. If you see him say hi and tell him Arvo sent you

In my opinion you shouldn't get so ruffled over tags that I'm sure are intended to benefit the animal in the long term, even if it is causing a bit of hassle in the short term.  I'm sure there are good intentions behind it.
