Well I went by the Lambton Woods today to try and capture a picture of this fabled Green Finch but with no luck.  He was spotted earlier in the day (around 10:15) however and may have been spotted after I left (at 2:15pm).

I did get a couple of new species off my list though including the White-Throated Sparrow and Kingfisher.  Also saw a Sharp-Shinned Hawk and a couple of Red Bellied Woodpeckers but no pics.

Interesting park...a bit busy for my tastes, especially today, but nice bird variety.

I tried for the Greenfinch this morning.  Hung out by the feeders from about 9am until 11am, but no luck.  A crowd of four or five had gathered by the time I left, so hopefully they had some luck with her.

I was there as well around 11. No luck for me nor the 2 or 3 people I spoke with.

The Greenfinch was in the area of the feeders at 2:30 and left at 2:40.  It hadn't returned by 3:15 when I left.

So, keep trying if you haven't seen it; it is still in the area.

Any update from anyone on the Greenfinch?   I passed by today for a bit to try my luck but he didn't show up.  Saw some House Finches, a White-Throated Sparrow, Song Sparrows, and all the other usual suspects.  Also looked for the Winter Wren near the wooden boardwalk but didn't see or hear anything.
