A very nice morning at Cranberry with the Willet as a highlight. It was seen from the platfrom at the south-east part of Cranberry Marsh. Other interesting shore-birds were a Pectoral Sandpiper and 2 Wilson's Snipe at the same location and a Solitary Sandpiper and 5 Short-billed Dowitchers along Lynde Creek.
Other notable birds were Black-billed Cuckoo, Great Egret, Great Crested Flycatcher, Northern Shoveler, Northern Pintail, Ruby-throated Hummingbird, both Nuthatches and a female Orchard Oriole.
Full species list below.
Walking down to the eastern part of Cranberry Marsh is necessary to see the shorebirds as none were seen from the platforms along Hall's Road.
