Hi folks,

Yesterday I found a couple of hours between clients and took a walk in my favourite park.  Enjoy

Brown Creeper 2013-03-09


Red-winged Blackbird 2013-03-09  I hope this means Spring is close by.

Cool pics.  I have to learn to be much more patient at James Gardens.  I usually rush through and don't take my time.

The RWBB are back. That means a lot of noise and a lot of opportunities for nice pictures.
The males come back early this year.

I didn't think I had ever seen a brown creeper before, but I was looking through some of my pictures and found a brown creeper on the trunk of a tree in one of my owl photos.  Now at least I have a starting point to go looking for one.  They are very similar to the nuthatches and I guess I always thought that is what it was.  I went by James Gardens last week on my way through Toronto, but had no idea where to stop, are there public feeders in one specific area?

There are a few small feeders scattered around now, but the first main feeder is about half a km or less south of the parking lot on a dirt trail that runs parallel and west of the paved trail.  Also, if you keep following that dirt trail south, it will eventually turn west, away from the paved trail.  There you'll find another set of feeders near a nesting ground.  Good luck Andy!
