Can you see Niagara Falls from the Leslie Spit?

Standing halfway along the Spit today I could have sworn I was looking across the lake at the Skylon Tower and the casino. Obviously the Falls are not visible, but I thought I saw the taller landmarks. Check out the photo linked below. I was facing more or less south.

Looks like Niagara to me. You can see the Toronto skyline well enough from Niagara-on-the-Lake, so I'm sure it works both ways. Seems crazy though right?

Some days are better then others for seeing Niagara Falls across the lake.  Sunrise and/or sunset seem to be the best time for lighting.  This video clip was taken early one spring morning a few years back from atop the Scarborough Bluffs at Rosetta McClain Gardens using 50x zoom.  YouTube processing has made the quality of the video worse then it already was.  :)

That's quite crisp - you can see the spray coming up from the Falls. Very cool!
