Further to the posts from yesterday, there were 4 Green-winged Teal and one Northern Shoveller in
Embayment D this afternoon. The Mockingbird was singing its heart out 1/2 way along the spine road; the
Red-tailed Hawk was actively hunting and the sound of 1000's of gulls was the predominant noise (mixed with
Red-winged Blackbirds to a lesser degree!) Hundreds of Cormorants are back. Over a dozen Canvasbacks are in
Cell One along with the beaver who is hard at work on his lodge.
