Down early this morning the inner harbour (boat launch) had 15 Trumpeter Swans couple Mute swans, 15 Buffleheads, 25 Mallards a Few Canada Geese. Several Belted Kingfishers coming and going. I then moved to the Lagoon areas and right away spotted 6 adult male Black crowned Night Herons so they are starting to return here in good numbers last year I counted 13 which I would classify as resident Night Herons so a few still to return. I saw a GBH fly over the lagoons twice but did not land. 5 Ring necked ducks, 2 Caspian Terns actively hunting. and Once again the Belted Kingfishers flying back and forth. 2 Turkey vultures partolling the cliffs as well as a large healthy Red-Tailed hawk.
