Hi everyone.  From 4:15-4:20pm, an Osprey was flying past my livingroom window numerous times and circling above the NW corner of Lake Aquitaine.  A very rare sighting for me!

Lake Aquitaine:  SE corner of Glen Erin Dr./Aquitaine Ave., behind the Meadowvale Community Centre.

Bob - that would be really awesome!  :D   Many years ago, they used to nest at ... Britannia and 8th Line???  Large nest at top of hydro pole.

Paul - a truly beautiful Osprey photo!  Thank You for posting this.   :D

Wow, Brittania and 8th Line,  Awesome.  I have doing "drive by-s" there over the last 2 weeks.

There are 2 (farmers) fields ( looks like corn from last year) on the north east corner - very flooded

Yesteday's finds were

Geese - too many to count
Mallards - same
Norhtern Pintail - 4 pair M&F
Northern Shoveler - 8 Pair M&F <at least>
American Widgeon - 6 pair M&F
Redheaded ducks - about a dozen
Kingfisher - 1 flew by into the woods on the east side of the fields
Yellowlegs - 18 counted - I think they are greater - pretty huge ones!
Brown headed Cow bBirds - 2 M, 1F
RWB - 4 counted

Last week I went there to see "the Wilsons Snipe" - there were 3, as well as about 8 birders watching them!
We were also looking for the reported Ross's Goose - no luck

Happy birding,
