My first visit to the Humber Arboretum!  What a lovely location - despite the on and off blizzard conditions - nice trails and variety of habitat.  Enjoyed the very large flock of Cedar Waxwings and was able to pick out 3 Bohemian Waxwings amongst them.  If you haven't seen any yet this year, now might be your chance before they head north! Today they were feeding in a variety of trees on the hillside to the right of the nature centre. They seem to move around a lot but I could usually relocate them by listening for their high-pitched calls.

There was also a nice variety of migrants, but I only found two of the five warblers reported yesterday (myrtle & pine). I did however enjoy very close proximity to a large herd of deer.

Good Birding,

The Bohemians were still at Humber Arb today, approx 6-8 mixed/ hanging around with the Cedar Waxwings which were plentiful and actively feeding in cedars, probably hang around for a while as they seem to be roosting in pine/cedars on hill, best location to see them in up on hill area between parking lot and visitor centre.

Pine and Yellow rump-warblers, Fox Sparrows handing around pond area near white gazebo and able to get quite close
