Friendly crowd and great spirits at the Spit today. Not a lot to see re: variety and numbers, but there were some nice treats. It was fun seeing the GHO being chased and bombed by the cooper's hawk.

When were you there? I was there this morning between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM, I see your posts all the time but we have never met...We might have been there at the same time! We saw the same birds, except I wish had seen the thrasher.

i was there the same time. i stopped to talk to Bob Cummings and his birders. I was also with the two Rosetta McClain boys for a bit. i was standing on top on the little mound on the south side of the woods with the 5+ other birders.  i was the youngish dude with the stupidly large lens (not mine...was borrowing).

the Thrashers were in the thickets along the northern fence closer to Unwin. there were 2 today. saw 1 fly by the north side of the woods on Friday.

Nice assortment Richard.  I may have to check out these Wet Woods one day; never been, but hear it's great.

A birth certificate shows we were born.  A death certificate shows we died.  Pictures show we live.
