Women in Birding

Here's a great article from the ABA blog about women in birding:
http://blog.aba.org/2013/06/open-mic-the-field-glass-ceiling-women-mcdonald.html
I think it's a good read for both women and men alike. There were a few stories that I could easily relate to, but I'm happy to say that overall my experience with male birders has been very positive. I was very surprised however by the opening statistic - apparently 54% of U.S. birders are women!

A very interesting and thought provoking read. The comments attached to the article are equally so. Thanks for posting the link.

Wow, that is a great articile, I do notice a difference between the numbers of male and female birders in our community here.
A real eye opener.
