I paddled in the Humber Marshes this morning, mostly before the rain. High water levels mean it's much easier to get into the marshes now. Great Egrets congregate there later in the summer but I was surprised to find 4 in one marsh. So, it's probably the biggest concentration in Toronto, even this early in the season. Aside from that it was fairly quiet. The cormorant colony appears to have grown a bit. Just north of there, I had a Carolina Wren singing.
