Hummers at Rosetta McClain

Just an FYI for those of you (Howieh, Meghan) who like hummingbirds and visit Rosetta in August.
No salvia was planted (for some strange reason), so there may not be much for hummers to feed on. you won't see what we saw last year.

I agree with Richard's call as I too have not found any 'Black and Blue Salvia' planted anywhere in the Gardens.  Once the Hawk Watch starts up again in August, I'll be at the park daily so I'll let you know if I see any Hummers hanging around.

there is some bee balm in one of the gardens on the eastern portion. there also are the giant lily plants that the hummers seemed to love. but i don't expect much activity vs what was seen last year

and they also like buddleia so we will just have to wait and see. They certainly are creatures of habit, even from year to year, so maybe some of the same birds will return to stoke up for the journey south. Maybe it's not too late to plant salvia - hey Walter, can you talk to the groundskeepers...?
