During a lull in the Osprey action this weekend at the pond, a little female Downy Woodpecker showed up and was nice enough to pose for me.

What a timing Mike, very well done. Yes, I tried my hands on her too, didn't turn out this good. At one point it came and sat on a branch right in front of downy spotter Mike and me. It usually doesn't get any better, unfortunately downy was too close for the Osprey lens we had. Sigh.
