Happy New Year to all, by the looks of the postings lately, they are going to have to change symbol to "2014 Year of Snowy Owl"

Today's Toronto Star talks about the sightings of Snowy Owls in Florida! Scientists don't know the reason for them moving so far south. I guess even Southern Ontario has been too cold for the arctic birds.

Probably just that there are so many of them that they have to spread out over a large area and some will go much farther south than usual to find an unoccupied spot.
