more like "15 hours of getting kicked off of Ontbirds for doing the right thing and shaming a jackass."

the best part was when he threatened to shove a white mouse down Ann's throat. pure class.

Congrats on the lifer.  Worth the drive, not sure about the nonsense.

I might try for the bird one morning this week.

A birth certificate shows we were born.  A death certificate shows we died.  Pictures show we live.

I also saw a Great Grey Owl for the first time this morning.  It was very cold and windy, but there were about 1/2 dozen others also watching.  He was very close to the road so nobody was trespassing or baiting the owl while I was there.  My wife and I stayed for about 20 minutes before I got too cold and had to leave.  I will try to go back when the weather is a bit warmer or the sky is a better colour.

Sometimes you need a little help to get the best shot.

That first one of the second set looks like he's saying, "would all you people please just go away and leave me alone?!"

;-) Very nice shots, both of you!

Very nice shots both of you.

I had my first sight of one or something like it today.

Also a first for e - adult bald eagle circling further north of the ggo location.

@560, 100% crop. Great eh? Disappeared a short while later.

Haha true. Well one day I will get him closer. Just too cold today to hang around waiting.

About Ottawa, one guy was telling me that it is a no show there this year.

That first shot is really great Richard.
50 minutes each way....not really something to complain about is it. Not for a bird like this. I've driven 5 times that far for less.  :D

I was very envious to see all these beautiful photos on this website. After 23 hours of failed stakeout at three different times, I finally got see it for the first time on Saturday; a lifer for me. What a great sight. Afternoon sun was perfect for everyone present. The bird flew onto a pine tree by the road and sat there till 5:30 when it flew back to the far end. It had no luck in catching anything the whole time.
