He showed a measured response in what must have been a shocking situation by not shooting at the owl. But I found it kind of sad that he accused the owl of stealing his rabbits, when it's really the other way around. Humans have other sources of food, while owls on the other hand literally live from meal to meal, only a few catches away from starvation. If anything, he was stealing food away from the owl.
I know there are a lot of hunters and they are avid contributors to wildlife preservation, but I don't agree with hunting. People can preserve wildlife without the ulterior motive of wanting to later kill some of it.
