Old School Road, which runs east/west, just to the north of Brampton is always worth checking out in winter. On Saturday there were hundreds of Horned Larks and Snow Buntings along the entire length of the road. There are at least 3 Snowy Owls in the area (one pure white male). A pair of Common Ravens are resident and generally found near Airport Road. Rough-legged Hawks and Northern Harriers are present as well. At it's west end, where Old School Road changes to Main Street, the Spotted Towhee stakeout is found. At the moment extreme caution should be taken at intersections. The snowbanks are so high it's difficult to see north/south traffic. Creep ahead at stop signs until you can see the north/south traffic. At most times the road is very light on traffic.
