Late this afternoon a Merlin came through the backyard like a jet.  It sent all the little birds in a tizzy and the Blue Jays went crazy.  I didn't realize how many Blue Jays were around until this Merlin arrived.  I raced to get the camera and he perched himself up on a neighbour's tv tower for about 20 minutes.  Anyways, not great photos to be taken, but good enough for ID purposes and records.

It was all very exciting for me!  I rarely see Merlins out and about, never mind the backyard.

A birth certificate shows we were born.  A death certificate shows we died.  Pictures show we live.
