Four of us visited Cranberry Marsh today. We went to the south platform first. The best sighting was a male Common Yellowthroat. It sang its witchety-witchety song. It was a male with its black bandit's mask and yellow throat. It was along the path that leads to the lake. It was in a tree, going after the gnats.
Other notables were: 5 E. Towhees, 1 American Woodcock, many Ring-necked Ducks, a pair each of Blue-winged and Green-winged Teals, 2 Hermit Thrushes, 1 Osprey.
