Spent 90 minutes in the woods.
Spring's definitely here. you could tell by the quantity of gnats that have suddenly appeared. and that's a good thing, since our little friends will be quite hungry when they arrive.

not a lot of warblers today. a few yellow rumped (maybe 6 in total). that's all. but lots of other goodies.

Raven (loud fly by)
thrashers x 6 - VERY vocal, all sitting in trees
Flickers x ??? - i saw around a dozen. very vocal, moving around
yb sapsucker x 2 (near unwin)
towhee (male)
various sparrows, including what was likely a swamp sparrow
veery x 2
hermit thrush x 2
goldfinches
creepers x 5
downy wp
red-neck grebes (heard) x lots
rc kinglet x 4

Lots of activity after the rain stopped this morning, but only a few to add to Richard's list:
-Winter Wren
-Woodcock
-Rusty Blackbird
-Caspian Tern
There are enough Yellow-rumped Warblers now that it's hard to keep an accurate count, but I couldn't find any other types. Rick however was able to find a single Pine Warbler.  Bonus sighting: 2 garter snakes!
