Many migrants were actively feeding on insects this afternoon at Sam Smith Park (most productive areas were the wood just east of the football field and "The Bowl").

Black-throated Green Warbler-1 male seen and heard well in "The Bowl"- in a spruce tree with some Ruby-crowned Kinglets. Distinctive" zee-zee-zee-zoo-zee" song heard a couple of times.
Palm Warbler-1, Pine Warbler-2 (1 female), Yellow-rumped Warbler-16
Hermit Thrush-12
Eastern Phoebe-1
Ruby-crowned Kinglet-25,Golden-crowned Kinglet-4
Chipping (3), Field (1), Song, Swamp (3) and White-throated Sparrows (15)+ Dark-eyed Junco (10)
Brown Thrasher-2
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher-3, Winter Wren-2

At the lakefront :Bonaparte's Gull (8), American Coot (1), Broad-winged Hawk (2 adults flying north over the park).
