RFI long eared owls

last night on the CTV news the weatherman said there were long eared owls in Toronto but I didn't catch where they were. anyone know?

They've been seen at Tommy Thompson Park (Leslie Street Spit).  One report also from Humber Bay East.  Last winter someone posted a report about a LEO in their neighbour's tree in south Etobicoke.

So they're definitely in the city.

I saw either a LEO of a Great Horned this morning on the Leslie Spit.  Past the red bridge in the first woods to the right. where the Barred Owl usually is.  The Barred owl was in the trees on the south side of the road this morning and spooked before I even got my camera off my back.  I need to figure out a better way to ride my bike and carry my camera lol.

I saw a Long ear last Friday as well, they are easiest to see around dusk... I may actually seen a second one as well but it was dark then so not sure....

Oh and Jaedon, I was initially confused between the long eared and the great horned but after spotting both on the same day I realized that the great horned appears alot larger, near the size of a red tailed hawk....

Also, the Long eared that I referred to in my last post I managed to photograph and even witnessed it make a rodent kill...
