Hi everyone.  My mom was visiting today, we got out for a nature walk from 10am - 12:30pm and walked at the following parks:

1.  Lake Aquitaine (SE corner of Glen Erin Dr./Aquitaine Ave., behind the Meadowvale Community Centre).  Sighted the following from 10-10:30am:

Canada Geese
Downy Woodpecker (male)
Grackles
House Sparrows
Mallards
Mourning Doves
Red-winged Blackbirds
Robins

Other:  Cabbage White butterfly and Midland Painted turtle basking on a log, enjoying today's awesome sunny weather!   8)  Also sighted large bright orange Goldfish at the NW corner, swimming close to the small dam.

2.  Plowman's Park (SE corner of Glen Erin Dr./Battleford Rd. - trails runs South from behind the seniors building).  Sighted the following from 10:30-11:00am:

Blue Jays
Cardinals
Goldfinches
Grackles
House Sparrows
Mourning Doves
Red-winged Blackbirds
Robins

Other:  Cottontail Rabbit and Red Squirrel.

3.  Lake Wabukayne (NE corner of Glen Erin Dr./Windwood Dr., behind the condo and school).  Sighted the following from 11:00am-12:00pm:

Blue Jays - including 20 flying by heading towards Toronto
Canada Geese
Cardinals
Kinglets
Mallards
Mourning Doves
Robins
Scarlet Tanagers x 2 (males) ... Wow!   :D

Other:  I was NOT happy to see the following ... the beautiful wooden dock at SW corner of lake/park has been removed and replaced with low boulders and gravel pathway.  Ugh!
