Going through some of my pictures from a trip to Florida (Ormond Beach - not far from Daytone Beach) in August 2005, I found this image among them.  Now they're obviously Pelicans but less obvious is which ones.  At least to me...is this silhouetted image enough to determine ID?  Is there some sort of feature that stands out more on the Brown Pelican as opposed to the American White Pelican or vice versa?

As for me, I think they're AWP but looking at eBird records, the Brown Pelican is more numerous and more common in August at and around Ormond Beach.  But then eBird records can be misleading. I can crop the pic and focus on only one if necessary.

These are Brown Pelicans.  The American White Pelican has a very prominent black trailing edge to its wing..
