Wasn't expecting to stumble upon a snowy owl today 26 June 2014 on Amherst Island.

Wild!  Hope he survives the heat/humidity and doesn't pick up West Nile through his summer stay.  Northern Owl species are highly susceptible to West Nile.

A birth certificate shows we were born.  A death certificate shows we died.  Pictures show we live.

Beautiful shots! I guess food is in abundance. Are there any records of snowies staying here for the summer? Maybe I'll get to see one after all - in July?? :)

I guess they are slowly adapting to global warming.
