This morning I noticed a lot of bird droppings on the skylights on my neighbour's roof. I thought it seemed odd because they aren't under any branches or wires. Then I realized that it was from the grackles nesting in my backyard.  Grackles carry the fecal sacs from their young and drop them in the nearest body of water (to the dismay of pool owners). I guess a skylight looks like water to a Grackle! (There are no droppings anywhere else on the roof.)

Too funny.

Have you considered setting up a little wading pool or something and see if it changes targets?

I don't have any skylights, so it's not my problem.  They often drop presents in my bird bath though.
