It looks like I have developed Carpal tunnel in BOTH hands! Does anyone else out there have experience with cts, treatment, etc. I can still handle the small camera but my thumbs especially are very painful, seeing a doctor today, will post any useful info later on.

Good Luck Howie, let us know how you make out.
I've never experienced anything like that so for treatment I can't help.
As for preventative  measures, maybe chasing Mad Max around the garden taking thousands of shots and hours of video are putting a strain on your hands. So next year see if the wife will take over shooting every once in a while.

On a serious note, I do hope you are better soon

Thanks. If I asked the wife she'd probably do the humane thing and shoot me instead...I'm actually not taking very many hummer shots, got at least three regulars including mad max(?) and two young birds, both of which appear to be males. What's happening out your way? Do you have hummers and are you taking any pictures of them? Assuming the salvia has been planted at Rosetta MG I'm looking forward to a late season feeding frenzy (and hopefully my hand problems will have been resolved by then!).

Hey Howie,

I'm doing good Hummer wise out here. 2 males are semi regular and 3 females are around most of the time.
"semi regular" and "most of the time" translate to all the time except when I have my camera..then they magically disappear.
I hear a rumour about the Salvia in Rosetta. I asked Walter and he confirmed it has been planted this summer.
I'll be there when the time is right.
Get better by then, I hope to see you there.

See a physio-therapist.  I recommend this guy, he's done wonders for my back: http://www.physiomotion.ca/profile.php

Thanks, I'll check him out but I need a definite(?) diagnosis first.

He's very good with diagnoses as well.  Was spot on with what was wrong with my back and also my brother-in-law's hip.
