On Sunday afternoon together with a few fellow birders I went to Minesing Wetlands to take a last look of the Snowys for the year. We saw three females and one young male. A bander belonging to Simco County Banding group showed up with some young adults intending to capture the male and band. First two times the Snowy ignored the bait the bander laid out; third time it went after it - lifted the trap a few meters above the ground before dropping it. It then flew away to a nearby farmers field. The bander gave up for the day. However, two female Snowys didn't. They took their turns to bully the young male. One had a brief aerial combat with the male - unfortunately I missed the opportunity to capture the moment. The second female snuck up from behind while the male was sitting in the middle of a farmer's field. This time I was ready. Don't know if it is a territorial fight or the females were urging the male to get on with it instead of sitting idle.
