We were there yesterday and spotted, among others, a small group of Field Sparrows, many Flickers,Phoebes and a Rusty Blackbird. Good work with the Rough-Winged Swallows! I've never seen them before. I'll head down later.

Out early today. Finally got to spot the King Eider out beyond the lighthouse. Had his head tucked in for about 20 minutes before looking up for a second.

Two  Caspian Terns flying around over Embayment D this afternoon. Ruby-crowned kinglets, Hermit Thrush, Flickers and the Green-winged Teal in the same area. Two Turkey Vultures  cruising on the thermals overhead
Dozens of Garter Snakes working thru the grass in warm areas as they come out of hibernation. Several dozen basking turtles. What a day!
