I've had a Northern Mockingbird in the area for the last two winters but haven't seen it for a while. Yesterday, while taking out the garbage, I spotted it in the bushes along the railroad tracks with a flock of Starlings. These tracks run east/west just north of Dupont and the Mockingbird was just east of Symington, behind the parking lot for the Caldense Bakery.
Also, a Red-tailed Hawk was hunting to the north of the tracks this morning. It seemed to be taking advantage of the strong wind to stay aloft.

I've seen a mockingbird in my area near dundas and runnymede. I also see red tailed hawks every once in a while, last winter one was eating a starling on a utility pole outside my house.

Hey..

I spotted a really dark looking Mocking bird at  the corner of Gilley road. and Garratt blvd..  Just North of Wilson.. (Toronto) I was standing at the (Calvington 120) TTC. stop at the corner when it flew over me.

Last year there was one in the same area most  of the summer.

I don't recall one looking this dark thou..
