Ashbridges Bay - May 9
on:
May 09, 2015, 01:25:28 PM
Ashbridges bay picked up this morning from the slowish week. The best birding was along the fenceline at the Marina. Sporadic through the rest of the park.
A couple of really great highlights for me:
Blue-winged warbler
Veery
Swainson's Thrush
Clay-coloured sparrow
Along with:
Palm
YRumped
American redstart
Yellow warbler
Magnolia
Chestnut-sided
Others reported Blackburnian
&:
Grey catbird
Least flycatcher
B-G gnatcatcher
Warbling vireo
Baltimore oriole
White-crowned sparrow
White-throated sparrow
Song sparrow
Field sparrow
Eastern kingbird - first time seeing him this year
Hermit thrush

I got to see the Swainson's thrush as well this morning. Also saw three belted kingfishers, towhees, warbling vireos, long tailed ducks and one lesser scaup
