Was driving down Highway 11, south of Temagami, when I spotted something rolling in the water. Stopped the car and saw 2 otters. One immediately took notice of me and swam rapidly away (backwards with head facing me) while sqeaking an alarm. The other kept rolling around in the shallows close to me, so I am wondering if I saw a mother and pup.
First time I have seen otters off the highway and many years since I last saw otters.
