Though it was a vacation I did find some time to walk around the resort in Tulum, Mexico and ended up getting a few photos of the local birds. These ones I could identify myself after looking up in the internet.

1. Ferruginous Pygmy Owl. From a distance I thought it was a sleeping dove, after zooming in I realized that it was an Owl. The talons are relatively big compared to its body size.

2. Green Jay

3. Yucatan Jay

4. Couch's Kingbird

5. Golden Fronted Woodpecker

6. Bronzed Cowbird

7. Turquoise-browed Motmot

8.Rufous-backed Thrush

9. Lazuli Bunting

10. Black-bellied Whistling Duck
