Around 2:30 this afternoon--well after the rains stopped--I had a Blue-winged Warbler in the Baselands, on the south side of that bowl area where the teeter-totter sits. The bird lit on a tree limb and rested in full view for about 20 seconds before flying off. I searched for half an hour but couldn't find it again.
A good selection of warblers in the Wet Woods, with the best concentration outside on the eastern edge. Black-and-White, Palm, Yellow, Yellow-Rumped, Nashville, American Redstart, Chestnut-sided, Black-Throated Blue, Northern Parula, and a magnificent male Cape May working his leisurely way throught the shrub tops.
