Was walking 'round the park, saw the following water fowl species:
- Hooded Mergansers (1 mating pair)
- Common Mergansers (3-4 males & 2-3 females)
- Common Gadwalls (1 mating pair + various singletons)
- Buffleheads (5 males & 4 females)
- Harlequin Duck (1 female only, couldn't find/spot the male)
- Redheaded Duck (2-3 males & females)
- Long talied ducks (3-4 males & females)
- Scaups (2 males & females) - Not sure if they're of he greater or lesser varieties... still have a hard time identifying these guys.
- Mallards (more than I cared to count... hehe)
- Mute Swans (1 very LARGE male, and another mating pair)
Non water fowl species:
- Male American Cardinal, calling out for a mate.
- 3 Male Redwinged Blackbirds (spring is finally here! YAY!)
- 1 Male Robin.
I've got some photos too... I'll post 'em real soon
All in all, a very good day for birding!
