Found this resident Sharp Shinned Hawk roosting in a linden tree this morning just beside a pine tree where I believe a pair may be scoping out a nest site.  He's (smaller than the other one) been wreaking havoc at the feeders lately and I've seen him roosting in the pine tree each night.  Hope to get some more and better shots with less twigs in the way when I pick up my slr in a couple of weeks!

This is a great idea. I have some scrap wood in the garage that would be a perfect recycling use. Can you provide some measurements on your bird box pieces and the size of the hole or a link depending on the bird.

This would be a great project for my son and daughters to help out with and hopefully attract some life to our backyard.

The big piece in the back is 12" long, with the rest of them being 5".  Hole itself is 1 1/4".
