First 2 I got:

Eastern Kingbird: note white tail band

Gray Catbird: overall all colour and black cap.

1. Eastern Kingbird (dark back with a white band on the end of the tail)
2. White-breasted Nuthatch. Short tail, white face with a dark cap, reddish under the tail. Gray catbird would have a much longer tail, the photo is just a bit dark.
3. Eastern Phoebe. This is a bit hard from this picture. The posture and plain plumage points to a flycatcher, and with the dark colouration overall with no eye-ring it must be a Pewee or Phoebe. A Pewee would have a shorter tail, longer wings (wingtips would likely be visible below the branch) and a smaller head.

Thanks for your replies! They are much appreciated.

I thought the first one was a Kingbird but didn't know for sure. When I took the second picture I thought it was a nuthatch, but then seeing the picture made me doubt what I had seen and the third picture I had no idea. I was also in a moving kayak so that's why I didn't get both birds in the picture or a very good shot.
