yep......2 clutches is actually quite normal......but the last 3-bagger I observed was years ago......
It's the late start this year that has pushed this rare one to finish in August.
I have a nest-cam set up so I know it's the same pair......ID'd by their eye ring markings.
I remove the "used" nests after each clutch and she rebuilds almost immediately for the next round.
The count has been 4 chicks.....then 3......and now 3 again.....all from a single female......which really shows the high mortality rate.
