I am but the birds aren't!  I think they know when the GBBC is and they stay clear of my yard!

Hi Walter.  That's crappy and exactly how Day #1 (Friday) went out here!

Day #2 (Saturday) - sighted the following at Lake Aquitaine:

Canada Goose
Rock Pigeon (Feral Pigeon)
Mourning Dove
Blue Jay
American Crow
American Robin
European Starling
Dark-eyed Junco
Northern Cardinal
House Sparrow

Day #3 (Sunday) - Thank You So Much to my friend Bob (rcflier), he joined me on his birthday  :!:  for counting.  We sighted the following at Maplewood Park:

Mourning Dove
Downy Woodpecker
Hairy Woodpecker
American Crow
Black-capped Chickadee
Red-breasted Nuthatch
White-breasted Nuthatch
American Robin
Northern Cardinal
House Finch
House Sparrow

Tomorrow, my focus is on birds of the "metal" kind - plane spotting at YYZ.  Will count any feathered birds, have been seeing RTH's this month.

Hi Mike.  That's great re: 18 species and especially cool seeing Wood Ducks - the males are my favourite!

The Riverwood birdcam was down for quite awhile but is now back up again.  Yippee!

Jo-Anne, lots of fun at Maplewood.  Nice way to spent my 70th birthday, thanks!

Get your hard hat out, I spotted first RWBB (male) of the year at Aquitaine!

Lots of " birdie birdie birdie"  (male Cardinals) singing these days

Once the females appear, all hell breaks loose and the males are on a head pecking mission!  They also go after dogs, squirrels, etc.  No one and nothing is safe!
