Hello,
I saw this bird at the Mattamy National Cycling Centre in Milton. I went there to try and see the reported Dickcissel and am hoping that this is it. Sorry for the bad quality of the photo as it only flew by quickly and only once. The bird also had a pale, yellow chest. All comments and thoughts appreciated.

Yes, it does appear to be one. There were also Savanah sparrows there; however, the wings would look different. What time were you there? I dropped by around 7 this morning and saw it sitting on a tree just north of the facility and after the stop sign where the ring road started. It appeared to be quite skittish. However, it kept coming back to the same tree a few times to sing. Beautiful looking bird.

Thanks.

We were there later in the day, around 11:30 am.  We saw many Savannah Sparrows, particularly on the telephone wires along the stone path.

It was a great day.
